Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter on WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's stories on the lenient police approach towards DUI cases caused the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to states authorities again releasing an even more strict directive on these instances. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell the Best Report of the year award for all South Carolina media. Following her stint in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative reporter. Then she joined Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. O'Dell in addition to anchoring the main show for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She has covered such events as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as and co-hosted a variety of pre-show arrivals in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. She co-hosted both the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
